Yarmouth Sailing Club has been a recognised RYA Dinghy Training Centre since 2010. We provide instruction and award certificates for Adult Dinghy Courses Levels 1 & 2 and for RYA Youth Scheme Stages 1 - 4, together with Advanced Modules Start Racing and Sailing with Spinnakers. In 2018 we also became a recognised RYA Powerboat Training Centre and offer RYA Powerboat courses Levels 1 & 2.

When capsize drills are scheduled to take place and there has also been heavy rainfall in the last 24hrs, the person in charge of running the RYA dinghy course shall check that there has been no Southern Water overflow discharges from the outfall pipe located off Sandhard Beach. The information can be found by checking the Defra website or more easily the Surfers Against Sewage app. If an overflow event has occurred in the last 24hrs, the capsize drill shall be rescheduled.
