Mixed Fleet

YSC has a mixed handicap racing fleet and it is the aim of the club to try to increase the size of this fleet.

The Mixed class is for any dinghy which is not a Coombes built Scow (although if only one of those boats turned up for a race he/she would be asked to join the Mixed fleet in order to get a race).

There is a new club initiative to have a beginner's race running in parallel with the main racing fleet. This will be a shorter course for less confident sailors to enable them to gain race experience with limited pressure (beginners' races will only be arranged on prior request to the race officer on the day).
