Thom D'Arcy's four year circumnavigation

The Clubhouse was packed out to listen and watch Thom's amazing adventure around the world. Members were spellbound as he told of the various encounters he had with the wild life of the oceans as well as being fascinated by all his stories of the countries he visited and the friendships he made. It was sad to learn of the state of the oceans with huge amounts of plastic washing up on beautiful, pristine beaches - which made the small contribution that YSC members make with our beach cleans seem more important than ever. The evening was completed with a delicious meal and with the Vice Commodore, Tom Gregory giving the vote of thanks.
