On a lovely, sunny afternoon and following the most welcome tea and cakes, our new Commodore, Martin Palmer presided over the list of prizewinners from 2020 which had been delayed because of the pandemic. As I write this the country is gradually coming out of lockdown and over the next few months the Club will come back to life. On Monday 29th March the first of this season's work parties will start and then on Thursday 1st April, Club organised sailing commences with an All Comers Shakedown Race starting at 1330hrs. It would be good to see as many boats on the water as possible; so please come along

If there is enough interest, Yarmouth Sailing Club will be running an eSailing club championship during January. The winner will go forward to represent YSC at the Regional Championships in February before the RYA eSailing UK Winter Club Champion is crowned on Sunday, February 28th. Due to the current Covid 19 lockdown restrictions, the clubhouse and the boat park will remain closed for the foreseeable future except for access by nominated members for maintenance and security. The RYA awaits the publication of the new laws. Until then, it is not clear if members may access their boats in the boat park for the purpose of maintenance and repair. Due to the change in the Tier structure on the Island, the Flag Officers have taken the decision to cancel the Christmas Walk. As we enter 2021 the YSC Winter Programme will be continually reviewed in line with the government advice.
