YSC team triumph in RNLI Inter-Club Quiz
The team working out how
to improve their already enormous score.

Davis. On 7 March our team participated in the final of
the RNLI Inter-Club Quiz at the Island Sailing Club, competing against teams
from the East Cowes Sailing Club and the Royal Solent Yacht Club. The event (which was the culmination of two
earlier heats) raised money for the RNLI and the Headway head injuries
charity. The final was a hard fought contest, with members
of several teams freely exchanging opinions with veteran quizmaster Mark Wynter. However,
eventually YSC emerged as convincing winners, and the club is now the proud
holder of the Peter Thorneycroft trophy (for the first time in the twenty
year history of the contest) which can be seen above the bar.
